Amazingly soft baby quilt designed, pieced and quilted by Texas fiber artist Kate Hunter.

Kate is a quilt designer and quilting instructor who makes her home in Fredericksburg. While she specializes in travel quilts, she has gerneously donated this baby quilt for her granddaughter's theatre program.  "My specialties are quilts inspired by travel, wall hangings that capture travel memories, and techniques that can be used to capture the travel themes.  The wall hangings are an opportunity to show off souvenirs gathered while traveling and also provide a small project that is perfect for trying out new techniques."

One of her full size designs sold at auction for $5,200 Though her quilts are works of art they are also very funtional and any baby would be lucky to have a quilt such as this one.
